What We Do

Healthy Families is a program offered to young, first time parents under the age of 21.
It is a voluntary program, meaning you can chose whether you wish to participate or not.
This program is free of charge.

Our goals include encouraging growth and development of children, education and independence
in young parents and making sure that all Massachusetts children are properly immunized.

Services offered by Healthy Families:

Weekly home visits to support parents and children until your child's 3rd birthday
Provide resources on WIC, financial assistance, health care, counseling and education
Childbirth education classes
Assistance with parenting issues, concerns, or skills
Encouragment and recognition for completing personal goals
Child development education and curricula
Child development information and developmental screenings for children
Assistance with acquiring day care
Parenting groups specifically for young parents
Annual holiday party
