Q: Who can be in the Healthy Families Program? |

A: If a young parent is under the age of 21 and pregnant or parenting their first child under the age of one, they are eligible. |

Q: Who can refer to the Healthy Families Program? |
| |
A: Anyone can refer a parent to the program including the parent themselves. To make a referral
you need the parent’s name, address, phone number, date of birth, and the age of the child or due date. |

Q: Is there a cost for this service? |
| A: This program is free to parents and health insurance is not required. |
| Q: How often does the program provide home visits for the young parents? |
| A: The visits occur weekly and are focused on the family's success.. |
| Q: How long can a family stay in the program? |
| A: The family can stay in the program, regardless of their age until their child turns three. At that point, they graduate from the program. |

Q: Can both parents receive home visiting services? |

A: We encourage both parents to be part of the home visits and groups. Both parents are equally important to their child's life.. |

Q: Why are updated childhood immunizations important to this program? |

A: One of our main goals is to promote health and wellness in all family members. |

Q: What are developmental screenings? |
| A: We do regular developmental screenings called the Ages and Stages Questionnaire. This is a play activity done with the parents and child to see how the child is doing developmentally. |
| Q: What happens if the parent decides not to be in the program anymore? |
| A: We are a voluntary program. If a parent is no longer interested, they need to inform the Home Visitor and services will be discontinued. |
